He was a warehouseman for the Acme Markets, South Kearny, for 37 years retiring in 1987. He was a Marine veteran of World War II and the Korean War. Mr.

Emerich was born in New Haven, and lived in Irvington for 27 years. His first wife, Martha Mateyka, died 1973 and his second wife, Millicent Ballantine, died in 1990.
